The Year in Ministry
What a Year Looks Like.
Fall
The fall semester is our largest evangelistic push during the school year. We typically meet hundreds of students during club fairs, tabling on campus, and events we host. We welcome students to Missoula and engage them in community quickly, whether it's a camping retreat, a trip to Glacier National Park, or our week-in, week-out large group gatherings on campus that consist of highly evangelistic teaching, q&a time, and community building. Additionally, a family from church opens their home and their kitchen to feed all who show up for Monday Night Football every week immediately following our large group meeting. Our student leaders shuttle students to church from campus every Sunday and our church shows great hospitality the first Sunday of the school year with a massive college welcome lunch after service.
Spring
Even though evangelism is a constant aspect of our ministry, the spring semester has an emphasis on equipping and training students to live out their faith on campus. Cross Conference, large group teachings, student-led evangelistic Bible studies, staff-led discipleship groups, and Spring Break retreat are some of the ways we see this happen. And skiing together, lots of skiing.
Summer
Summer break here is pretty laid back, but is still an exciting time to be in Missoula! Along with enjoying endless opportunities for recreation, our students get to dive into the church community they have been a part of during the school year, but now without the pressure of school. Most summers, we host small-group Bible studies, book clubs, and have lots of fun together. In the coming years, we hope to launch into some summer projects in collaboration with other AC campuses.
