The Church at IU Southeast.

At Indiana University Southeast, Across Campus partners with Third Avenue Baptist Church to reach students with the gospel. Through Bible studies, one-on-one discipleship, and large group gatherings, we invest in students for the glory of God and the good of the church.

We believe campus is one of the most strategic mission fields in the world — young people forming convictions that will shape the rest of their lives. We want to be there with the Word of God.

The Year in Ministry

What a Year Looks Like.

Fall

The fall semester kicks off with freshman welcome week. As a registered club, we host and attend events — meeting thousands of freshmen, helping them move in, and inviting them to weekly Bible studies through Mark. Staff and student leaders form relationships, start Bible studies a few weeks in, and hold a fall retreat mid-semester with clear gospel talks and community building. You never know who will be interested; sometimes it is those you least expect.

Spring

Spring kicks off with CROSS Conference — a Christ-centered gathering for college students that students describe as transformative. The conference exposes students to God's mission for the nations and typically produces a desire to fight sin, grow in God's Word, plug into the local church, and be bold in evangelism. Spring Break is probably our most evangelistic event of the year — the Lord has used this trip to bring many students to faith through Bible studies at the beach.

Summer

We offer Rooted, a summer program where professing Christians live together, work, and learn through trainings and workshops. The goal is to teach students how to be evangelists in college and after graduation. We also host a Bible study for students enrolled in summer classes, and each year take a small group of mature students on a short-term mission trip.
