The Church at FIU.

At Florida International University, Across Campus partners with Kendall Baptist Church to reach students with the gospel. Through Bible studies, one-on-one discipleship, and large group gatherings, we invest in students for the glory of God and the good of the church.

We believe campus is one of the most strategic mission fields in the world — young people forming convictions that will shape the rest of their lives. We want to be there with the Word of God.

The Year in Ministry

What a Year Looks Like.

Fall

The fall semester kicks off with Welcome Week. We table at F1rst Night and host events throughout the week as an opportunity for students to get to know us and build friendships through fun and engaging activities. After that first week, we launch Bible studies where we study a book of the Bible, and we host a large group meeting weekly with one of them every month being a family style gathering at the campus director's house. We also have a mid-semester retreat meant to build community and dive deeper into God's Word.

Spring

Even before the Spring semester starts, we kick things off with CROSS Conference — a Christ-centered conference that exposes students to God's mission for the nations and often leads to a greater desire to fight sin, grow in God's Word, engage in the local church, and be bold in evangelism. Throughout the semester, we continue hosting Bible studies and large group meetings and provide opportunities for evangelistic outreach and challenges.

Summer

We offer three different opportunities during the summer: Summer Project — professing Christians live together, work, and receive training through teaching and workshops with the goal of equipping students to be evangelists both in college and after graduation. Summer Bible Study — a Bible study for students taking summer classes. Mission Trip — opportunities for students to share the gospel around the world.
